Microservices

Microservices describe a particular way of designing software applications as suites of independently deployable services. During this event you’ll hear from an expert in the field; Jean-Baptiste Clion! Jean-Baptiste (a.k.a JB) is a GDE and senior cloud engineer working with Google Technologies since 2007. He is the founder and co-organiser of GDG Basel, Switzerland. Jean-Baptiste worked in various industries such as Defence & Aeronautics and Finance & Consulting. In his last position, JB was Google Practice Lead at Capgemini Switzerland, he is now co-founding a startup dedicated to Progressive Web Apps solutions relying on cloud technologies. During his talk JB will also cover some cool stuff about a major open source API manager

Besides learning the “all you need to knows” about the particular way of designing software applications as suites of independently deployable services, you’ll attend a codelab led by Martin Berends. Martin is a Google Developer Expert for Cloud Platform since 2014. He has worked as a freelance software development consultant and trainer for about 30 years specializing in data communications and industrial automation. He teaches computer programming, has experience in Open Source language projects and delivers presentations at community events. Martin contributes practitioner and design skills to several small startup businesses.
